A Sunlight Air plane experienced a deflation of its nose landing gear tire while landing at Siquijor Airport on Monday, January 5.
Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines chief information officer Eric Apolonio said all passengers aboard flight RL-B876 from Mactan to Siquijor were safe.
He said the aircraft deviated from the runway centerline and came to a stop on the runway.
“All passengers and crew are safe, and no injuries were reported,” Apolonio said.
CAAP Director General Raul del Rosario said standard safety and recovery protocols were immediately initiated and the incident is being evaluated with the airline and aviation authorities.
The CAAP reiterated its commitment to maintaining the highest standards of aviation safety to protect passengers at all times.
