Boracay Island registered a total of 2,155,217 foreign and local tourists in 2025, a slight increase from 2024, according to data from the Malay Tourism Office.
Of the total arrivals, 1,765,282 were domestic tourists, while the rest were foreign visitors.
Tourist arrivals in 2024 reached 2,077,977.
The top foreign markets in 2025 were South Korea, the United States, Australia, Taiwan, Russia, China, the United Kingdom, Japan, Germany, and India.
Niven Maquirang, acting chief of the Port Cruise Ship Operation and Special Projects of the Aklan provincial government, said Boracay recorded 14 cruise ship arrivals out of a target of 23, with most vessels coming from Taiwan.
Maquirang said weather disturbances were among the main reasons cruise ship visits were canceled.
For 2026, the Malay Tourism Office maintained its target of 2.3 million tourist arrivals, with 17 cruise ship visits already expected. Cruise passengers typically stay on the island for about eight hours.
