It clarified that legitimate notifications are sent only by “MMDA_NCAP” and do not contain payment links, requests for replies, or contact numbers.
The agency advised the public not to click links in suspicious messages and to observe basic online safety practices to protect personal information.
Motorists were encouraged to report suspicious texts or posts through the MMDA hotline 136 or its official social media accounts.
