The National Housing Authority on Friday will now allow payments througg GCash and ECPay for monthly amortizations for its housing beneficiaries.
NHA general manager Joeben Tai said the agency partnered with G-Xchange Inc. (GCash) and ECPay, represented by Jamie Carmela Tiu and Ana Pulido, respectively, through a memorandum of understanding.
Tai said the initiative does not only promote instant and hassle-free payment scheme but also improves the collection efficiency of the NHA in a bid to reduce payment delinquency and accelerate the agency’s cash flow.
The effort is an expansion of the roster of the agency’s payment as its new digital partners for the monthly amortization payments of the residential account holders.
Tai said online payment has paved the way for an easier way for the housing beneficiaries to fulfill their financial obligations at the palm of their hands and without the need to visit nearby district or regional offices.
Under the collaboration, GCash shall serve as the mobile wallet platform that ensures real-time payment capabilities and transaction transparency, while ECPay will serve as the payment gateway integrator to ensure a seamless transaction flow between GCash and NHA’s billing and collection system.
