NATIONAL Police Commission (Napolcom) vice-chairman and executive officer Rafael Vicente Calinisan on Friday expressed satisfaction over developments in the case of the missing cockfighting aficionados or sabungeros.
“First of all, I am very happy, because I am waiting for that. I just have said before that upon the filing of this case, we’ll be finished after 60 days,” Calinisan told reporters at the sidelines of the Napolcom and Presidential Task Force on Media Security (PTFoMS) agreement signing.
“The truth is that we are already finished, the drafts are at my table, but it’s up for deliberation because we are waiting for the resolution from the Department of Justice,” he said.
Calinisan also said the Napolcom will coordinate with the DOJ regarding the case.
“We will coordinate with the DOJ. We will wait for the proper time in releasing our decision on the missing sabungeros case so that it will not reflect that justice in the Philippines is non-existent,” he said.
Calinisan gave assurance that they do their jobs in delivering on his promised to finish the case within 60 days.
