The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Region 9 on Monday arrested a significant drug personality during a buy-bust operation involving P6.8 million worth of shabu Zamboanga City.
In a statement on Tuesday, PDEA said its agents were able to seize approximately one kilo of the suspected illegal drugs with a street value of P6.8 million in Barangay Sinunuc, with help from the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 9 and the Zamboanga City police.
The suspect was only identified as alias Almisal.
He was charged with violation of Section 5, Article II of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
PDEA RO9 underscored its unwavering commitment to the government’s anti-drug campaign by targeting sources of illegal drugs and dismantling distribution networks in the Zamboanga Peninsula.
