AGRARIAN Reform Secretary Conrado Estrella III personally led the distribution of land titles on Monday, Dec. 15, in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan.
During the event, the Secretary underscored the transformative role of land ownership in uplifting rural communities and empowering farmers.
“Land ownership provides dignity, stability, and opportunity. Through Project SPLIT and the condonation of land amortizations, we ensure that our farmers fully enjoy the fruits of the land they till, free from the financial burdens that have constrained them for decades,” he said.
DAR gave away land titles to 3,672 farmers under the regular Emancipation Patent/Certificate of Land Ownership Award under the agency’s Support to Parcelization of Lands for Individual Titling Project.
