“The embassy is worried about the rise in the number of Filipinos entering Myanmar supposedly to work as Customer Service Representatives. They are often granted a 70-day business visa,” the statement read in Filipino.

“We would like to remind everyone that the deployment ban in Myanmar is still in effect,” it added,” it added.

The embassy did not provide further information on the number of Filipinos deployed in Myanmar.

It also encouraged the public to contact the embassy at (+95) 998-521-0991 for concerns and assistance.
