THE Philippine National Police (PNP) on Tuesday said the policeman-vlogger facing multiple charges for his social media posts in connection with the arrest of former president Rodrigo Duterte on orders of the ICC will undergo a neuropsychiatric exam.
PNP spokesperson Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo said Pat. Francis Steve Fontillas was facing administrative charges including grave misconduct and conduct unbecoming of a police officer, aside from a criminal case for inciting to sedition. The complaints were filed before the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office.
“He will undergo a neuropsychiatric examination to check and examine his current mental status,” Fajardo said in a virtual press conference.
In his social media posts, Fontillas threatened the government, the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol), and the ICC following Duterte’s arrest last March 11. Fajardo said Fontillas was absent without official leave from March 6 to 19.
