Hackers allegedly involved in cryptocurrency broke into the official X (formerly Twitter) account of former Vice President Leni Robredo.
Robredo confirmed this through a post on her Facebook page Monday, February 17.
“My X (Twitter) account was hacked. Please ignore all posts while I am trying to gain control of the account again,” Robredo told her followers.
Robredo’s verified account on X currently has over 1.7 million followers.
On Monday morning, it began posting about Solana—a cryptocurrency company—out of the blue. At least two unauthorized posts have been made, which sounded like a glowing review of the firm’s services.
The posts appeared to have been deleted as of 9:00 a.m.
Upon checking, Robredo’s latest post on X was a reposted content from the official account of her Angat Buhay Foundation dated October 24, 2024.
