Key agreements included the Elimination of Double Taxation (signed by Finance Secretary Ralph Recto and Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister Prak Sokhonn) and an MOU on ICT and Digital Transformation (signed by DICT Secretary Ivan John Uy and Cambodian officials).

“We also intend to exchange information on investment promotion strategies and practices,” President Marcos said.

Other agreements cover agriculture and agribusiness cooperation, competition law implementation, technical and vocational education and training (TVET), and a tourism implementation program for 2025-2028.

The countries also agreed on cultural property protection and investment promotion, demonstrating their commitment to stronger economic and diplomatic ties.

President Marcos highlighted renewed commitments in defense cooperation and preventing the looting and illicit trafficking of cultural properties.

The Philippines and Cambodia established diplomatic ties in 1957 and have since strengthened cooperation bilaterally and within ASEAN.
