Philippine Army unit gives recognition to personnel 

The Philippine Army’s 11th Infantry “Alakdan” Division celebrated its 6th Foundation Anniversary with an Awards Presentation, highlighting its commitment to excellence and role in the success of the Joint Task Force Orion campaign.

The ceremony honored the exceptional contributions of both individuals and units within the Division.

Among the distinguished honorees was 1st Lt. Dindo R. Paddayuman from the 34IB, recognized as the Best Officer. The Best Enlisted Personnel award went to Sgt. Michael B. Barcena from the 45IB.

Additionally, the Best Civilian Employee award was presented to Mr. Nurheda A. Dastala from the Office of the Division Adjutant.

In addition to individual accolades, several officers and enlisted personnel were recognized with Bronze Cross Medals, Military Merit Medals, Civic Action Medals, and Military Commendation Medals.

Unit awards were presented to the following battalions for their outstanding performance in various categories: the 34th Infantry (Reliable) Battalion received the award for Best in Administration and Finance; the 35th Infantry (Makamandag) Battalion was recognized as Best in Operations and Intelligence; the 41st Infantry (Partners for Peace) Battalion earned the title of Best in Civil-Military Operations; and the 45th Infantry (Gallant) Battalion was awarded Best in Logistics.

In the brigade category, the following units were recognized: the 1102nd Infantry (Ganarul) Brigade won Best in Administration and Finance; both the 1103rd Infantry (Kalis) Brigade received awards for Best in Civil-Military Operations and Logistics; and the 1101st Infantry (Gagandilan) Brigade was honored as Best in Operations and Intelligence.

“This moment allows us to reflect on how far we have come as an organization. While we celebrate our collective achievements, we must also recognize the outstanding individuals and units who have gone above and beyond in their respective duties and responsibilities,” said Major General Leonardo I. Peña, Commander of the 11th Infantry Division.

“Their commitment and excellence exemplify the core values of the Alakdan Division: honor, patriotism, and duty. The awards you received are just a token of appreciation from this Command,” he added.

The 41st Infantry Battalion was adjudged as the Overall Best Battalion for 2024, while the 1103rd Infantry Brigade earned the title of Overall Best Brigade for 2024.

Both units were recognized for their exceptional performances in operations and administrative roles.
