Labor Attaché Manuel M. Dimaano of the DMW Migrant Workers Office (MWO) in Kuwait said the workers’ cause of death was attributed to the inhalation of nonbreathable, toxic gases from the fire.

The MWO in Kuwait is currently handling the legal procedures and addressing concerns related to the incident.

It is also facilitating the processing of documents for the repatriation of human remains to the Philippines.

Meanwhile, the DMW Regional Office and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) in Western Visayas visited the families of the OFWs in Capiz and extended financial assistance to support them during this difficult time.

The DMW has since extended its condolences to the grieving families and assured them of its full support.
