THE Department of Health has bared four new cases of monkeypox (mpox) recorded in Region IV-A (Calabarzon), bringing to 13 the total number of mpox infections in the region.
According to the DOH, the latest patients , aged 24 to 66, began experiencing symptoms in earlier this month.
Two of the patients are males from Rizal while the other two—one male and one female—are from Laguna.
The three male patients are currently in home isolation.
Meanwhile, the 66-year-old female patient was hospitalized, but has reportedly recovered.
The DOH-Center for Health Development Calabarzon Regional Epidemiology Surveillance Unit gave assurance it is closely monitoring the situation.
