The Commanding General of the Philippine Army (CGPA), Lt. Gen. Roy M. Galido, engaged in roundtable talks with U.S. Army leaders at the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia, U.S.A.
Accompanied by Brig. Gen. Roy Anthony O. Derilo, the Philippine Defense and Armed Forces Affairs (DAFA) Attaché to the U.S., Galido discussed the U.S. Army’s planned assistance aimed at bolstering the facilities and capabilities of the Philippine Army.
The meeting was also attended by U.S. Department of the Army Assistant Secretary for Acquisition, Logistics, and Technology, as well as U.S. Army General Staff Officers.
Additionally, Lt. Gen. Galido held a separate bilateral meeting with Lt. Gen. David J. Francis, who leads the Center for Initial Military Training at the Pentagon.
During this meeting, both leaders emphasized the significance of the bilateral alliance between the Philippine Army and the U.S. Army, as well as the importance of training exercises conducted between their two armies.
