THE Bureau of Immigration (BI) is set to initiate deportation proceedings against eight undocumented aliens arrested in Alabang, Muntinlupa City for alleged involvement in online scams.
The BI intelligence division nabbed the foreigners in three separate streets inside an exclusive village in Alabang on Oct. 22. Seven of the foreigners were Chinese, while the eighth was a Vietnamese.

Initial investigations disclosed that two of them were overstaying and one was suspected to have illegally entered the Philippines.
“We have found reason to file deportation cases against them,” BI Commissioner Joel Viado said.
“They will be considered undesirables once their cases are resolved, and face deportation,” he added.
