PAF officers participate in training for territorial defense ops

A total of 45 Philippine Air Force (PAF) Judge Advocate General Service (JAGS) and Operations Officers participated in a five-day Enhancement Training on Territorial Defense Operations.

This program was organized by the PAF through the Office of the Air Judge Advocate, in partnership with the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP).

The officers earned Certificates in International Relations and International Law by engaging in workshops covering topics such as Comprehensive Archipelagic Defense, Secure Communications, Multilateral Engagements, Air Defense Identification Zones, and Airspace Management.

During the closing ceremony of the training, PAF Commanding General LtGen. Stephen Parreno emphasized the crucial role of legal advisors within the PAF.

He noted that their contributions are significant in addressing security challenges, ensuring that operations are underpinned by a thorough understanding of international law and rules of engagement.

According to the PAF, initiatives like this course underscore its commitment to enhancing its capabilities and readiness to navigate complex global security environments in the legal domain.
