A fire erupted in a residential neighborhood in Sta. Ana, Manila, on Tuesday morning.
The blaze started on Onyx Street, near Sagrada Familia in Barangay 775.
The Bureau of Fire Protection raised the first alarm at 6:12 a.m.
The situation escalated quickly, reaching the second alarm at 6:15 a.m.
By 6:28 a.m., the fire had reached the third alarm, followed by the fourth alarm at 6:48 a.m.
Thirteen fire trucks were dispatched to combat the flames, which produced thick black smoke.
Residents attempted to save their belongings and some assisted in fighting the fire.
No casualties have been reported thus far.
The Bureau of Fire Protection is currently assessing the number of affected families and investigating the cause of the fire.
Narrow streets in the area have complicated access for firefighters, hindering their efforts.
