“We have built our reputation as a tourist destination. We are home to major broadcasting networks and a myriad of movie studios,” she said.

Belmonte earlier announced the city’s bid to become the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization Creative City of Film to elevate its standing in the global film industry.

The city government plans to open the Museum ng Pelikulang Pilipino inside the Quezon Memoral Circle in 2025, and to conduct much-awaited concerts of international stars as well as to offer a venue for other activities of international and local undertakings.

Belmonte said they would open the Quezon City Center inside the premises of the city hall to accommodate guest-clients and hold various events that shall create more job opportunities.
