Julian’ was further downgraded into a low pressure area as of 11:00 AM on Friday with PAGASA reporting that it is now outside the Philippine area of responsibility.
The weather disturbance was last spotted at 480 kilometers north of Itbayat, Batanes. It is forecast to move northward at 45 kilometers per hour.
“’Julian’ weakened into a remnant low at 8:00 AM today. The remnant circulation of ‘Julian’ is forecast to merge with the frontal system over Taiwan area,” according to PAGASA.
PAGASA earlier lifted all tropical cyclone wind signals it previously hoisted during the height of the storm.
‘Julian’ may totally dissipate anytime soon with the state weather bureau turning its attention to other cloud clusters or intertropical convergence zones around the country.
