Television noontime show host and comedian Ferdinand “Vhong” Navarro will remain in the custody of the National Bureau of Investigation after the Taguig City regional trial court issued a warrant of arrest for the rape charges filed against him by model Deniece Cornejo.

Navarro went to the NBI Monday hours after a separate warrant was issued by the city’s Metropolitan Trial Court for the acts of lasciviousness case, also filed by Cornejo. The actor posted a P36,000 bail for this case while the rape charges is a non-bailable offense.

Later in the afternoon, another warrant was issued by Taguig RTC branch 69, this time for the rape case also filed by Cornejo.

Both cases stemmed from the incident happened at the Bonifacio Global City in January 2014. The model claimed that the actor raped her in her condominium unit.
