Serg’s Chocolate to restart operations, aims for 2026 return

Local confectionery brand Serg’s Chocolate said it is targeting a market relaunch in the third quarter of 2026.

On Monday, Jan. 26, Serg’s said in a Facebook post that it is preparing a gradual comeback following disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and the flooding brought by Typhoon Carina in 2024, which damaged key production machinery.

The company said it will begin its return by reintroducing Serg’s Chocolate Bars, starting operations on Cordillera Street in Quezon City, where the brand was founded in 1954. Serg’s said it plans to “start small” as it rebuilds production and operations.

As part of its relaunch preparations, the brand said it will share its first-quarter plans and progress publicly to ensure transparency and accountability. Serg’s also appealed to longtime customers for support as it works toward its comeback.

“We may also ask for your help along the way—so we can bring Serg’s back together and keep Serg’s Chocolates as a Filipino family legacy that will stay for generations to come,” the post read, encouraging fans to share memories of Serg’s chocolates with younger generations,” it added.

Serg’s, once a staple of Filipino households, gained popularity for its affordable chocolate products before halting operations amid financial and logistical challenges.

“If everything goes well, we are hoping Serg’s in 2026 (Q3),” it continued.
