Eat. Drink. Watch.Play. Repeat.

Arcade dining craze hits Manila with food, games, and nonstop fun

The flashing lights, the thrum of arcade machines, and the hum of laughter all blend into a familiar kind of chaos, albeit a fun one. That’s what greets you the moment you walk into Dave & Buster’s, now open at Opus Mall in Bridgetowne.

Known in the United States for pairing food, drinks, and games under one roof, the brand makes its Southeast Asian debut through The Bistro Group. And here, it’s easy to see why it’s earned a following back home.

At first glance, the venue feels like an arcade on overdrive: 50 state-of-the-art machines, massive LED screens showing live sports, and a bar that’s just as busy as the gaming floor. The industrial-chic interior gives it a polished energy, but the mood stays playful—like being a kid again, only this time with cocktails.

“The experience excites all the senses,” said Antonio Bautista, Dave & Buster’s chief international development officer.

He wasn’t exaggerating. Between rounds of Mario Kart DX and Stepmaniax Arcade De Luxe, there’s the steady pulse of music, the aroma of sizzling burgers, and the satisfying clatter of tokens hitting trays.

According to Bistro Group president Jean Paul Manuud, the concept was an easy fit for Manila’s social crowd.

“It’s a very good concept that could pioneer well in the Philippines,” he said, calling it a first-of-its-kind addition to the local dining and entertainment scene.

The arcade lineup is impressive: from the nostalgia of Addams Family and NBA Superstar Worldwide to the thrill of Godzilla VR and the new Fast & Furious Arcade with dual monitors. There’s also a Win Area where players trade tickets for collectibles and gadgets, plus a billiard hall for those who prefer a slower game. Private rooms and VIP areas are available for special gatherings.

Of course, no Dave & Buster’s experience is complete without food. The menu reads like a comfort food hit list—Buster’s Bacon Burger, Fuego Chicken Sandwich, Barbacoa Quesadilla, and Double Pepped Up Flatbread. Group favorites like Game Day Grub and Crispy Business are easy picks for sharing, while the bar keeps the drinks flowing.

Dave & Buster’s is located on the third floor of Opus Mall in Bridgetowne, Quezon City.
