The Encanto Water Project which is an RO (reverse osmosis) filtration system, generates 800  gallons of water sourced from the local water utility.

The process of reverse osmosis makes water undergo several stages of water filtration to ensure that it adheres to the standards for drinking water set by the Philippine National Standards.

The water sample tests – both pre and post installation were conducted by SGS Philippines Inc. The Encanto Water System produces 800 gallons of clean drinking water everyday.

Present at the project turnover were Nikki Michelle Junia, incumbent President of the RCMPR; President- Elect Weng Ruaro; Dr. Georgina Encanto, widow of Atty. Mervyn Encanto; Atty. Encanto’s eldest daughter Melissa Encanto Tagarda; Mervyn Miguel his eldest grandson and RCMPR past presidents Alfredo Tumacder, Millett Bellicena and Rene Lao.

The water system was formally turned over to the school principal Roland Genine in the presence of Vice- Mayor Mary Anne Suyao Lujan, who represented Mayor Jeanette Garin.

Mervyn Miguel, the 11-year-old grandson of Atty. Encanto, said that his grandfather is his role model whom he tries to emulate in all his endeavors.

Dr. Encanto said that the choice of Guimbal Central Elementary School was most appropriate because it was her late husband’s hometown.

She recalled how the Encanto Water Project started with funds raised from the commemoration of the 10th death anniversary of Atty. Encanto in 2017 and the desire of the Rotary Club of Makati Paseo de Roxas to keep his legacy of generosity and compassion for the poor, alive.

In her speech, Vice Mayor Lujan thanked the Rotary Club of Makati Paseo de Roxas and Dr. Encanto for selecting Guimbal Central Elementary School as the first recipient of the Encanto Water Project.

She read a board resolution passed by the Office of the Sangguniang Bayan of Guimbal on March 24, 2025 expressing “ profound gratitude to the Rotary Club of Makati Paseo de Roxas and to Dr. Georgina R. Encanto for donating a Reverse Osmosis Water Filtration System known as the Encanto Water Project to the Guimbal Central Elementary School.”

Guimbal Central Elementary School has 996 students who will be benefited by the accessibility of clean potable water produced by the water system.
