SENIOR citizens of Navotas City aged 80, 85, 90, and 95 have received P10,000-cash incentives under the Expanded Centenarians Act.
An initial batch of 53 elderlies who reached these milestone ages between March 17 and December 2024, also benefitted from free medical check-ups, medicines, and basic laboratory tests.

Citing records from the National Commission of Senior Citizens, Navotas Rep. Tobias Tiangco their city was the first local government unit in Metro Manila to give away such incentives.
Tiangco, co-author of the Expanded Centenarian Acts, emphasized the importance of honoring senior citizens. “The initiative is more than just financial aid,” he said.
