To facilitate the establishment of an interim labor regional office in the Negros Island Region, Labor Secretary Bienvenido Laguesma (seated, center) signs Administrative Order No. 264, series of 2025, during the sidelines of the Joint Labor Relations and Regional Operations Cluster Mid-Year Performance Assessment on 17 July 2025 at the Sequioa Manila Bay in Parañaque City. The order aims to implement Republic Act No. 12000, also known as the Negros Island Region Act—signed by President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr., and lays out the guidelines for the operationalization of the interim DOLE–Negros Island Regional Office (DOLE-NIR).
