Endangered species

Former Candaba mayor and Ibon-Ebon Bird-Watching Festival organizer Jerry Pelayo displays during a press briefing in Quezon City screenshot photos of game hunters as posted on social media, preying on Philippine ducks locally known as Dumara which has been declared as ‘endangered’ by the International Union for Conservation of Nature. These birds have an estimated remaining population of only 3,300 to 6,700 face extinction, along with other wild avians.
