The basketball camp was made possible through the efforts of the Municipal Government of Maramag, headed by Mayor Jose Joel Doromal. Formed in March, 2022 by Coach Henry Subido, the Hoopz Dreams Basketball Training Center teaches boys and girls the fundamentals and advanced skills in basketball. It also hopes to open up opportunities for the talented youth cagers to play and compete in Manila and be fortunate enough to be recruited by schools in the city.
