Philippine exporters generated $7.08 million in sales at the Ambiente 2026 trade fair held Feb. 6 to 10 in Frankfurt, Germany, a 4.1-percent increase from $6.8 million in 2025.
The delegation, organized by the Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM) under its DESIGNPhilippines program, recorded higher sales despite lower overall attendance at the fair due to tariffs and supply chain pressures.
The United States emerged as the top market, accounting for $1.26 million in booked sales, while exhibitors reported solid engagements with buyers from Europe and other key markets.
“Even as high-volume production remains a challenge, we are still able to position ourselves clearly to buyers by highlighting what we do best: exceptional product development, masterful material use and an always cohesive design narrative,” CITEM executive-director Leah Pulido Ocampo said.
Seasonal decor was the strongest category for the delegation. Albertina booked $1.2 million in Christmas decor orders from a leading US department store, while Klassy Collections secured $230,000 in sales from buyers in the United States, Canada, Japan and Europe.
Other top-performing products included rattan items from 33 Point 3, abaca-based goods from Bicol and capiz lighting from Robles Heritage. These items drew interest from major US retailers such as Anthropologie, TJX, Mackenzie-Childs and World Market.
CSM Philippines also secured buyer interest for its porcelain and bone china products across Europe and the Middle East.
