Tookitaki, a global financial crime prevention technology firm, has opened a satellite office at Ayala Triangle Tower One in Makati City, as part of its Southeast Asia expansion.
The launch gathered leaders from the financial crime and compliance community, including clients and partners such as GCash, Maya, PayMongo, and GoTyme, reflecting the Philippines’ fast-growing fintech ecosystem.
Over the past year, the company operated from a shared workspace while building its local presence and strengthening regional partnerships. The move to a dedicated office is expected to support team growth, deepen engagement with financial institutions, and expand on-the-ground support.
Tookitaki founder and CEO Abhishek Chatterjee said financial crime is becoming more complex, pushing institutions to adopt more advanced and collaborative technologies.
“Tookitaki’s AI-driven solutions and federated approach to fighting financial crime enable financial institutions to detect complex fraud patterns, uncover hidden risks, and strengthen AML compliance. Our presence in Manila allows us to bring these capabilities closer to Philippine financial institutions and support their continued growth,” he said.
Co-founder and COO Jeeta Bandopadhyay said the Manila office will enable closer collaboration with clients and faster response to their needs, as financial institutions navigate an increasingly complex risk environment.
Tookitaki supports banks and fintech platforms across Asia, using its technology to monitor a large share of daily digital transactions. This enables institutions to detect complex fraud patterns, uncover mule networks, and bolster anti-money laundering defenses at scale.
