Radius Telecoms achieves Google Gold peering status

Radius Telecoms Inc., a subsidiary of Manila Electric Company (Meralco), has attained Gold Verified Peering Provider (VPP) status from Google.

The certification marks the highest level within Google’s standards and recognizes the company’s network capacity to provide high-performance digital infrastructure for Philippine enterprises. The Gold tier signifies excellence in network reliability, performance, and physically diverse connectivity across multiple metropolitan areas.

For organizations in the Philippines, the status facilitates faster access and improved performance for essential services including Google Cloud, Google Workspace, and YouTube. Unlike standard internet peering, the VPP program requires networks to meet strict criteria for capacity and resilient interconnection to Google’s global infrastructure.

“A strong digital backbone is essential as more businesses and communities across the Philippines go digital. Through our direct peering with Google’s network, we are helping businesses, platforms, and users experience faster, more stable, and more seamless access to Google services,” Radius president and chief executive Exequiel Delgado said.

By meeting these international standards, the provider aims to deliver consistent connectivity to global platforms that support local business operations.

Radius operates an end-to-end full fiber optic network spanning more than 11,000 kilometers across Mega Manila, nearby provinces, Clark and Cebu.

The company remains a primary connectivity provider in the Mega Manila region, where it offers direct internet access, global networking and managed cloud services such as SD-WAN and zero-trust networking solutions.
