The Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL) and the Licensing Executives Society Philippines (LESP) have teamed up to strengthen intellectual property valuation and technology transfer to help local innovators unlock the economic value of intangible assets.
Under a memorandum of agreement signed on March 6, 2026, the two organizations will implement training programs and advanced courses on IP asset valuation over the next three years. The initiative aims to help Filipino businesses and inventors better navigate the commercialization of patents, trademarks, and other protected works.
LESP will provide resource persons, technical expertise, and learning materials sourced from the global network of the Licensing Executives Society International. The collaboration is designed to support IPOPHL-led programs while fostering research and the development of specialized IP courses for higher education institutions.
The partnership includes a pro bono component where LESP will extend commercialization support to under-resourced Filipino inventors and micro, small and medium enterprises through
