Manila Water expands Antipolo coverage with new mainline project

Manila Water Company began commissioning a mainline extension project in Antipolo City to expand service coverage to hundreds of households in Rizal province, the company announced Monday.

The project involves a 150mm line at Hinapao–Tagbac designed to provide new water service connections to residents in Barangay San Jose. It targets the communities of Haustalk and Grand Monaco–Casa Mia.

Construction began in September 2025 and is in the final testing phase. Once the system is fully operational, Manila Water expects to enable 708 new individual household connections.

The infrastructure includes 330 linear meters of 150-millimeter high-density polyethylene pipelines installed via the open-cut method. The Maguey Reservoir will supply the new mainline with treated water sourced from the Calawis Water Treatment Plant.

Company officials said the extension reflects a broader effort to support urban development and improve access to potable water for residents in the city.

In preparation for the rollout, Manila Water representatives held a project information campaign in September 2025. The sessions included barangay leaders and homeowners’ associations to build awareness for the expansion program in previously underserved areas.

Manila Water representatives reaffirmed the company’s commitment to expanding critical infrastructure and delivering reliable services to support the long-term development of the communities it serves.
