BIR launches dedicated service for registered enterprises

The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) launched the Registered Business Enterprise Taxpayer Service (RBETS) on Jan. 27, 2026 to streamline assistance and improve the ease of doing business for registered firms across the Philippines.

The initiative introduces dedicated service counters and specialized personnel at select Revenue District Offices and the Large Taxpayers Service to support enterprises operating under the CREATE MORE law.

BIR Commissioner Charlito Martin Mendoza said the program aims to provide immediate improvements in taxpayer service by training staff and establishing interim structures rather than waiting for long-term administrative shifts.

BIR data showed that 5,907 registered business enterprises operated nationwide under various investment promotion agencies as of the end of 2024.

Department of Finance Secretary Frederick Go lauded the bureau for translating legislative intent into operational reform, noting that the service signals the government’s commitment to enabling business growth.

Department of Trade and Industry Secretary Maria Cristina Roque said streamlining compliance builds investor trust and helps attract capital to the country.

The RBETS launch is part of the BIR’s wider DARES reform agenda which focuses on service excellence and stakeholder engagement.

By providing consistent and accurate assistance, the BIR intends to ensure that the rules remain clear for investors while strengthening oversight within the national tax system.
