Department of Tourism (DOT) Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco and Department of Finance (DOF) Secretary Frederick Go reaffirm their commitment to support tourism stakeholders by addressing the tourism-related issues affecting their businesses in a meeting on Jan. 9, 2026. The meeting discussed the Bureau of Internal Revenue’s (BIR) Revenue Memorandum Circular (RMC) No. 5-2024 in the tourism sector which broadens the tax exposure of foreign service providers engaging with Philippine hotels, travel agencies and tourism associations.
