PEZA registers EDAC as export facility

The Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) has registered electrical components manufacturer EDAC Philippines as a new export enterprise to generate jobs and support growth in the electronics manufacturing sector.

PEZA deputy director-general for policy and planning Anidelle Joy Alguso and EDAC treasurer Connie Robinson signed the registration agreement on Jan. 5, 2026.

The company plans to begin commercial operations in the first half of 2026 at the Filinvest Innovation Park within New Clark City in Tarlac.

The facility will focus on the manufacture and assembly of electronic connectors. EDAC Philippines intends to hire at least 90 Filipino workers during its initial phase to bolster the country’s export capacity in electronic components.

PEZA facilitates operations and provides incentives for export-oriented investments in designated special economic zones. The agency continues to expand approvals in priority sectors such as electronics manufacturing services and semiconductor manufacturing services, which remain primary contributors to national export growth and employment.
