PAL to boost Palawan travel with Airbus A330

Philippine Airlines (PAL) is upgrading its service on the Manila–Puerto Princesa route by deploying the widebody Airbus A330-300 starting Dec. 17 this year.

The country’s flag carrier said the launch marks a major boost for both leisure and business travel to Palawan’s vibrant capital, offering enhanced comfort and capacity.

The PAL A330-300 offers a total of 363 seats, configured to cater to a range of traveler needs: 18 seats in Business Class, 33 seats in Comfort Class and 312 seats in Economy Class.

“Utilizing our widebody fleet on flights to Puerto Princesa will enhance operational efficiency, improve overall customer satisfaction, and also provide Palawan residents more opportunities to explore the Philippines and the rest of the world,” said Capt. Roland Narciso, PAL senior vice president for operations group.

“We have been working closely with airport authorities for a smooth transition to widebody operations in Puerto Princesa,” he added.

Starting Dec. 17, PAL will operate its Airbus A330 on this route three times weekly—every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

PAL said passengers can take advantage of PAL’s lowest one-way base fare for Puerto Princesa, starting at just P688, making travel to the gateway of Palawan more affordable than ever.

Passengers originating from select international destinations can easily connect to Puerto Princesa via PAL’s Manila hub, maximizing convenience and travel flexibility.

The flag carrier operates A330 aircraft across its extensive domestic and international network, ensuring a consistent standard of comfort and service for all passengers. Moreover, the deployment of A330s will also boost cargo capacity, supporting increased freight movement and providing greater opportunities for businesses to ship goods efficiently.

Puerto Princesa stands as the gateway to the world-renowned Subterranean River National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature. With its lush landscapes and diverse wildlife, the city continues to attract nature lovers, adventure seekers and travelers from across the globe.

PAL’s fleet of Boeing, Airbus and De Havilland aircraft operates scheduled nonstop flights out of hubs in Manila, Cebu, Clark and Davao to 31 destinations in the Philippines and 39 destinations in Asia, North America, Australia and the Middle East.
