ACMobility, the mobility arm of the Ayala Group and a leading provider of electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions in the Philippines, has teamed up with the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) and the John Hay Management Corp. (JHMC) to expand the number of EV charging stations (EVCS) in Camp John Hay, Baguio City.
The expansion includes eight new charging points across three strategic BCDA properties, featuring Baguio City’s only DC Fast Charger.
The new network is located at the garden wing, the public parking area and the golf club. The Garden Wing hub features a 60kW DC Fast Charger, capable of powering vehicles in as fast as 30 minutes, alongside two 22kW AC chargers.
The public parking area will house two 22kW chargers, and the golf club hub will offer two 7kW chargers. All stations are integrated with the Evro app, allowing users to locate, access, charge and pay seamlessly. These additional EVCS complement the existing charging points at Camp John Hay Technohub, with more AC and DC chargers expected to be operational in the coming months.
BCDA president and chief executive Joshua Bingcang said the partnership marks a key milestone for Camp John Hay’s pursuit of sustainable tourism. “By introducing reliable EV infrastructure in such a strategic location, we are enabling greener, more convenient travel for residents and tourists while supporting ACMobility’s mission of nationwide accessible EV charging,” Bingcang said.
