The Philippines is making the development of climate-resilient energy infrastructure a national imperative, especially for the nation highly vulnerable to climate change.

Capongcol said that every destruction in fuel supply, every spike in global prices and every extreme weather event directly threatens the economy, communities and most vulnerable citizens. “Typhoons, floods, heat waves and droughts increasingly test not only our infrastructure but our national resilience as well,” she said.
