Century Pacific’s income rose 10% in 9 months

Century Pacific Food, Inc. (CNPF) saw its net income reach P5.8 billion in the first nine months of the year, a 10 percent increase from the same period last year, driven by strong performance across its branded and export businesses.

Nine-month sales also rose 8 percent year-over-year, the company said Thursday in a disclosure to the stock exchange.

For the third quarter alone, net income rose 15 percent while revenues climbed 15 percent to P22.1 billion.

CNPF chief financial officer Chad Manapat said the company’s growth was supported by its diversified portfolio and improving consumer demand.

“The Group’s performance can be attributed to the company’s all-weather portfolio, with both domestic and international legs,” Manapat said.

“Certain domestic macroeconomic factors are supporting our volume-led growth, especially for a food company like ours that plays in staples. Stabilizing inflation, particularly lower rice prices, has somewhat improved purchasing power, which in turn increased demand. That’s half the battle; the other half is ensuring our brands continuously support consumers by providing more affordable, convenient, and healthier choices,” he said.

The company also saw a 4 percent increase in export revenues in the third quarter of the year, narrowing the year-to-date decline to 5 percent versus last year.

During the period, CNPF also made strategic investments, including the acquisition of Loma Linda, a US-based plant-based heritage brand, and a new coconut processing facility in South Cotabato to support export growth and create 800 jobs.

Given the company’s year-to-date performance, it expects to achieve its target double-digit topline and bottomline growth in 2025.

“We remain optimistic about the Philippines’ growth story, anchored on a growing economy and favorable demographics that continue to drive long-term consumption. This is our backdrop as we plan for a solid finish and build momentum for 2026, guided by our mission to provide affordable nutrition to consumers,” Manapat said.
