Credit Information Corp. (CIC) and EastWest Rural Bank (EWRB) are teaming to conduct a free financial literacy webinar for teachers and educators on Oct. 17, 2025.
The online learning session, part of the CIC Academy flagship program “Credit Management 101: Empowering Educators for Financial Success”, aims to equip educators with knowledge on managing debt, understanding credit reports, and enhancing access to better financial opportunities.
CIC president and chief executive Ben Joshua Baltazar noted the vital role of educators in building informed communities.
“Financial literacy is more than a personal skill. It is a foundation for building informed and empowered communities, in which teachers and educators play a vital role,” said Baltazar.
“By hosting a learning session tailored for them, we reinforce our commitment to promoting responsible borrowing and to ensuring that financial inclusion starts where learning begins, that is, in our schools,” he said.
