Manuel Pangilinan-led Manila Electric Company (Meralco) and its corporate social responsibility arm, One Meralco Foundation (OMF), recently brought electricity to 169 households across six barangays in Novaliches, Quezon City.
The homes gained access to safe and reliable power through OMF’s Household Electrification Program.
The milestone was marked by a lighting ceremony attended by officials from Meralco, OMF and the local government. Attendees included Meralco head of north distribution services Sante Buella, OMF president Jeffrey Tarayao, Quezon City 5th District Rep. Patrick Michael Vargas and Senior Citizen Partylist Rep. Rodolfo Ordanes, among others.
Residents expressed their gratitude, saying the program would help create a brighter future for their families and community.
Meralco and OMF said that by energizing these homes, they are not only bringing light but also unlocking opportunities for Filipino families.
