Security Bank has received three awards for its human resources initiatives, including its commitment to work-life balance and digital transformation efforts.
The bank won a bronze award at the Economic Times Human Capital Awards for its human capital management (HCM) system, which was launched in 2023. The project, called HCM Resources Online (HeRO), is a centralized platform designed to streamline HR processes and improve employee experience.
According to the bank, the initiative achieved a 99-percent satisfaction rate among new hires and a 25-percent time savings for managers through HR automation. The bank also reported a 67-percent increase in operational efficiency and cost savings from retiring older systems.
Security Bank said it also received a bronze award for excellence in work-life harmony at the HR Excellence Awards 2025. The recognition was based on the bank’s inclusion and belonging programs, which resulted in an employee engagement score of 78, surpassing the market average of 72.
The bank was named one of HR Asia’s best companies to work for in Asia-Philippines. The recognition is based on a survey of 2.5 million employees and culture audits.
“Our promise of ‘You matter’ is not just to employees, but ultimately to our customers,” said Nerissa Berba, executive vice president and chief people officer at Security Bank.
“When our people feel valued, supported, and empowered, they’re able to bring their best selves to work and serve our customers with greater care and empathy,” she said.
“These recognitions affirm that by investing in our employees’ growth and well-being, we’re also strengthening our ability to be the most customer-centric bank in the Philippines,” said Berba.
