Customs collection climbed 6.4% to surpass July target

Bureau of Customs (BOC) said Friday its revenue collection grew 6.4 percent to P85.46 billion in July 2025 from P80.36 billion a year ago.

It said in a statement the collection also topped its revenue target for the month by P1.094 billion, or 1.3 percent.

Preliminary data showed the BOC’s collection also increased from P77.035 billion in June.

It said it achieved the figure despite a 4.5-day suspension of operations due to severe weather, which disrupted port activities and customs processing nationwide.

Customs Commissioner Ariel Nepomuceno said the achievement shows the power of good governance. He said the agency would continue to deliver results that benefit the Filipino people and support the President’s vision for nation-building.

The latest figure brought the agency’s collection in the first seven months to P544.230 billion.

The BOC attributed its strong July performance to the efforts of its 17 collection districts and key revenue streams.

These included collections from unpaid post-entry modifications, P3.103 billion from government importations under the Tax Expenditure Fund (TEF) and P136.94 million from the Post-Clearance Audit Group (PCAG).
