The League of Corporate Foundations (LCF), a network of organizations advancing corporate social responsibility (CSR), honored Rex Education with its prestigious CSR Medal of Recognition in the Education Category.
Held July 1, 2025, the award recognized Rex Education’s efforts to strengthen the private education sector through its flagship initiative, the Edukampyon Corps of Trainers.
Initially composed of 67 volunteers, the Edukampyon Corps of Trainers was launched to support the private education sector in implementing the MATATAG Curriculum.
The program quickly expanded to meet broader needs, including quality assurance mentoring through the REX QA-SAMA Program and the institutionalization of school-based professional learning communities (PLCs).
Through collaboration with esteemed education professionals, the Corps conducted 17 major training sessions and has since grown to 316 members nationwide, from Luzon to Mindanao, developing 92 unique training materials tailored to the needs of private schools.
Between November and December 2024, the Corps trained 4,711 teachers in implementing the MATATAG Curriculum.
Its nine-part webinar series further reached nearly 100,000 educators, addressing curriculum implementation concerns and sharing best practices.
Key to the program’s success were Rex Education’s partnerships with the Department of Education (DepEd), the Coordinating Council of Private Educational Associations (COCOPEA), the Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines (CEAP), and academic experts from the UP College of Education and Xavier School.
“The Edukampyon Corps is essentially mula sa mga guro, para sa kapwa guro. A perfect complement to REX’s guiding principle that is para sa bata, para sa mamamayan, para sa bayan,” said Rex Education CEO Don Timothy Buhain.
