Clark Development Corp. (CDC) launched a campaign on July 11, 2025 to revive “Happening on the Green”—fondly known as The HOG—a tradition of the former Clark Air Base.
Led by CDC president and chief executive Agnes Devanadera, the event featured testimonials, cultural presentations, a ceremonial caramel apple dipping and a press conference.
The HOG, which ran from the late 1960s to the 1990s, was originally organized by the US Air Force’s Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) Division. It served as a morale booster for service members and their families, transforming the Parade Grounds into a vibrant hub of music, food, games and camaraderie.
The HOG is slated to return in November 2025, with CDC kicking off festivities after the Oct. 23 lighting of Christmas displays. Through its Tourism Promotions Division, CDC aims to restore The HOG as a celebration blending American fair traditions with Filipino community spirit.
Festivalgoers can anticipate Picnic Park zones, a Gastronomic Lane, a Veterans’ Memory Wall, a Cultural Courtyard, a Car Show, a Hotdog Eating Contest, a Battle of the Bands and a Fireworks Display.
