Cebu Pacific (CEB) asked passengers to help ensure safe and smooth journeys as the peak Holy Week travel season nears.

The airline advised travelers to check their flight’s airport terminal assignment, emphasizing the importance of verifying details on itineraries and boarding passes, especially flight numbers and terminal information.

Cebu Pacific noted that flights with the code 5J, operated by Cebu Pacific using larger commercial jets, arrive at and depart from Manila’s Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3.

Flights with the code DG, operated by Cebgo using smaller turboprop aircraft, have seen some changes.

DG flights from Manila to Siargao and Masbate were transferred to Clark International Airport effective March 30. Other DG flights to and from Manila remain at NAIA Terminal 2.

T6 flights, operated by AirSWIFT using smaller turboprop aircraft, arrive at and depart from NAIA Terminal 2.

Cebu Pacific urged passengers to arrive at the airport on time, advising allowing extra travel time due to anticipated heavier road traffic during the peak season.

“We advise passengers to be at the airport at least three hours before departure for domestic flights, and four hours for international flights. Passengers traveling to Dubai are allowed to check in as early as seven hours before departure,” the airline said.

Check-in counters close 45 minutes before the scheduled departure time for domestic flights and one hour for international flights to allow sufficient time for pre-flight procedures.

After checking in, CEB encouraged passengers to proceed promptly through immigration and security to avoid delays. Boarding begins 45 minutes before the scheduled departure.

Passengers can avoid long airport lines by checking in via the official Cebu Pacific mobile app or the “Manage Booking” section of the airline’s website. These options are available from 48 hours up to one hour before domestic flights and up to two hours before international flights.

Domestic passengers who have checked in online and do not have checked baggage can enter NAIA Terminal 3 through Gate 1 and proceed directly to the boarding gates by showing their digital boarding pass.

CEB’s check-in counters at NAIA Terminal 3 are located at Aisles A and B. Counters A1-A15 are designated for online check-in passengers, while Counters A17-A29 and B1-B15 are for those who have not checked in online.

For international travel, passengers are advised to register or update their eTravel forms within 72 hours (three days) before departure from and arrival in the Philippines. They should save the generated QR code. For roundtrip international flights, the eTravel form must be completed twice – once for departure and once for arrival.

After generating the eTravel QR code, passengers should complete the Customs Declaration Form before arrival and keep the eTravel QR code for scanning by customs officers after baggage claim. The eTravel form can be accessed at www.etravel.gov.ph.

Cebu Pacific reminded passengers of the carry-on baggage allowance: one bag that fits in the overhead bin and one personal item (purse, small backpack, or laptop bag) that fits under the seat. The combined weight of both items must not exceed 7kg. Bags exceeding size or weight limits will be intercepted and charged at the boarding gate.

The airline encouraged passengers to purchase prepaid baggage online via the Cebu Pacific website or mobile app, noting it is up to four times cheaper than airport charges.

CEB’s enhanced baggage policy allows passengers to purchase up to three pieces of 20kg baggage. For each piece, an additional 4kg, 8kg, or 12kg weight allowance can be added online up to two hours before departure.

Passengers flying from select domestic destinations (Bacolod, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Clark, Coron, Davao, General Santos, Iloilo, Manila, Puerto Princesa, Siargao, Tacloban, Tagbilaran, and Zamboanga) are required to self-tag their check-in luggage at designated airport kiosks before proceeding to bag drop counters. Self-bag drop kiosks are also available at NAIA Terminal 3 and Clark International Airport.
