AC Mobility chief executive Jaime Alfonso Zobel de Ayala reiterated the company’s commitment to innovation as POW makes EV adoption easier by delivering mobile charging that complements its growing network.
“Power-on-Wheels makes adopting the EV lifestyle easier by offering a convenient, mobile charging solution that complements ACMobility’s growing network of EV charging stations. This service brings charging directly to customers where and when they need it, making EV charging more accessible for people of various lifestyles,” he said.
POW brings fast, accessible charging to EV owners, especially those without nearby stations, with onboard fast DC chargers that let users conveniently charge at home, condos, or offices, saving time and avoiding queues.
Developed in partnership with Singapore-based Power Up Tech (P.UP), POW benefits from proven technology used across Asia, ensuring reliability in advancing the country’s EV infrastructure.
Multiple POW units will be deployed across Metro Manila, offering sustainable charging solutions in areas lacking stationary infrastructure.
POW deployment meets the criteria of infrastructure development under the Electric Vehicle Industry Development Act (EVIDA).
Designed for both Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) and select plug-in hybrids, POW supports fast DC charging up to 120 kWh and is compatible with CCS2 plug-equipped vehicles.
The first batch of deployments started operating in Makati, Mandaluyong and Taguig, with intentions to expand nationwide.
POW services can be booked through the Evro app, ACMobility’s eMobility service provider partner.
The Light Duty, Commuter, and High Miler subscription plans offer flexible charging solutions tailored to different vehicle battery sizes, while additional top-ups, “POW-ups,” and car care services enhance the overall charging experience.
