First Gen Corp. announced Thursday the resignation of senior vice president Teodorico Jose Delfin effectively immediately “in view of his assignment to a government position.”
Sources confirmed Delfin resigned following his appointment as undersecretary for planning and development at the Department of Transportation.
Delfin served as the company SVP for regulatory affairs since 2017. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science degree (1989) and a Bachelor of Laws degree (1997) from the University of the Philippines. He is a member of the Philippine Bar.
Aside from Delfin, First Gen announced the retirement of president Ramon Araneta effective March 1, 2025.
Newly appointed Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon previously asked key executives in his department to submit their courtesy resignations.
Dizon was appointed as the new secretary of the DOTr on Feb. 21, 2025 after Jaime Bautista resigned, citing health reasons.
Prior to his appointment, Dizon served as the chief regulatory officer of Prime Infrastructure Capital Inc. of businessman Enrique Razon Jr.
