BOI endorses Vena’s wind, solar projects for green lane processing

The Board of Investments (BOI), through its One-Stop Action Center for Strategic Investments (OSACSI), awarded green lane certificates of endorsement to Vena Energy’s P75-billion wind and solar projects.

Department of Trade and Industry Undersecretary and BOI managing head Ceferino Rodolfo presented the certificates to Vena Energy officials, recognizing Opus Solar Energy Corp., Gemini Wind Energy Corp. and Ixus Solar Energy Corp. as key players in the initiative.

The certified projects include the 416.025-MWp /318.750-MWac Opus Solar Power Project, 200-MW Gemini Wind Power Project, 301.392-MWp Aguilar Solar Power Project and 473.616-MWp Ixus Bugallon Solar Power Project.

All projects will be developed across Luzon and the Visayas, generating up to 8,000 direct jobs during construction, operation and maintenance.

Vena’s renewable projects form part of the 184 strategic investments endorsed by OSACSI under the Green Lane program, totaling P4.614 trillion as of Feb. 19, 2025. Of these, 149 projects worth P4.211 trillion fall under renewable energy.

Established through Executive Order No. 18 (2023), the Green Lane initiative streamlines permitting and licensing for strategic investments, particularly in renewables, to drive economic growth and innovation.

OSACSI actively coordinates with the Department of Energy (DOE), national agencies (NGAs) and local government units (LGUs) to ensure expedited processing.
